Mazanoke is a privacy-first image compressor/converter that runs entirely in the browser, so you don’t upload photos to sketchy “free” sites just to resize/compress them. It blew up in the self-hosting crowd (around 2.4k GitHub stars) because it solves a real annoyance: quickly shrinking images for websites, emails, WhatsApp/Telegram, listings, or docs while stripping EXIF metadata and keeping everything local (works offline, installable as a PWA).
