Home Assistant is an open-source smart home control platform for automations, dashboards, device integrations, and local-first home infrastructure. This template installs the current Home Assistant Container setup on Ubuntu with Docker, persists its configuration in `/opt/home-assistant/config`, and exposes the UI on port 8123. This is the container installation type, so it does not include Home Assistant OS Supervisor or add-ons/apps.
